Orion Drilling’s first well was drilled in the fall of 2003. Since then, our customers have found great value in our engineering expertise. With multiple petroleum engineers on staff, a wealth of project management experience, and manufacturing capabilities second to none, Orion Drilling is equipped to bring your next well in—safely and profitably!
Our Manufacturing and Fabrication Facility is equipped to construct state of the art rigs, API certified substructures, masts, and more. 23,000 square feet of indoor space allows us to build two drilling rigs simultaneously, regardless of weather. Skilled process and design engineers, QC managers, welders, mechanics, and electricians work together to build the most efficiently engineered drilling rigs in the industry. Every rig in the Orion fleet is equipped with a top drive, automatic catwalk, and EDS controls.
Our Assembly and Integration Facility is a fully concreted eight-acre assembly yard with enough room to rig up 4 drilling rigs at the same time. The yard also contains our Corporate Headquarters, Mechanics & Maintenance Shop, and an advanced inventory system that tracks, receives, and ships rig components, supplies and spare parts seamlessly.
